Chowder and Chocolate
Over labor day weekend Kendall and I drove out to San Francisco with his family. We went to visit Jordan and Patrick who recently moved there. They live in this great studio space with a sleeping loft. It has high ceilings and plenty of floor space, so we all had a slumber party there. It was so much fun to visit the sights. Here is some of what we did on Friday (Day 1)
First we went to a DELICIOUS lunch at Boudin. Everyone got a sour dough bread bowl with clam chowder. It was so good.
Here we are after eating out lunch. Enjoying the beautiful weather.
Next we walked down a little ways to snap some photos.
Of course we got a good one in front of the sailboats for Kendall
Next we popped over to Ghirardelli square. I was very excited, but slightly let down when we got there. Honestly there isnt much to see, just a couple of shops. We did stop and get some delicious Ghirardelli chocolate sundaes though. Totally worth it.
Here is the sign above Ghirardelli square. I got it when we went down to the docks to look at this..
A large sea worthy vessel.
Next we went on a trolley ride down to Union square for a little shopping. The wait very long, but it was fun to ride the trolley.
After the ride the driver let us pose for a family photo on the trolley. I think we should be in a TV show about a family who lives in San Fran...dont you? After our shopping came my favorite part of the trip. Check again for the details...
